Simplifying Chakras
The word Chakras from Sanskrit translates to "wheel" or "disk" but references a spiritual energy center within the human body, of which there are 7 along the spine, and through the neck and crown of your head. The Chakra system originated in India in the oldest text called The Vedas. Each Chakra correspond to specific organs as well as physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual states of being and they influence all areas of your life.

The seventh primary chakra is the crown chakra . The crown chakra is located at the crown of the head. The colors associated with the crown chakra are violet, representing enlightenment, or white, signifying purity, perfection and bliss.
The sixth primary chakra is the third eye chakra, also known as the brow chakra. The third eye chakra is located between and approximately one finger space above the brow. The color associated with the third eye chakra is indigo, representing the search and attainment of spiritual purpose.
The fifth primary chakra is the throat chakra. The throat chakra is located at the throat. The colour associated with the throat chakra is blue, representing knowledge of, and oneness with, divine guidance.
The fourth primary chakra is the heart chakra. The heart chakra is located at the center of the chest, at heart level. The colors associated with the heart chakra are green, representing healing and balance, or pink, signifying unconditional love and compassion
The third primary chakra is the solar plexus chakra. The solar plexus chakra is located just below the ribs. The colour associated with the solar plexus chakra is yellow, representing analytical thought and intellectual activity.
The second primary chakra is the sacral chakra. The sacral chakra is located at about three inches below the navel. The color associated with the sacral chakra is orange, representing creativity and wisdom.
The first primary chakra is the base chakra, also known as the root chakra. The base chakra is located at the base of the spine. The colours associated with the base chakra are red, representing passion for life, or black, signifying stability or grounding.
